Modern 20th c. decorated paper
Title
Modern
20th
c.
decorated
paper
Artist
Unknown
Date
20th century
Descriptive Notes
This
example
would have been
created
by
taking
a
piece
of
paper
and
starting
with the
lightest
color
, the
ink
would have been
allowed
to
absorb
wherever
it
was
applied.
The
paper
retains
for
asthetic
reasons
the
crinkling
that was
done
to
it
during
the
final
color
application.
This
last
step
would
most
likely
be that the
paper
was
crumpled
into
quite
a
small
shape
and then a
liberal
amount
of
dark
red
would have been
applied.
Because
of the
crumpled
parts
, the
paper
would have
retained
the
heaviest
amounts
of this
last
color
in those
creases.
The
paper
,
after
allowing
it
to
soak
up
this
color
would have been
left
to
dry
before
spreading
it
back
out.
The
primary
colors
for this
gold
dusted
paper
example
are
red
,
blue
and
yellow.
