| Title | Researchers aboard the M-boat approximately 100 yards from Rigili Island's beach, summer 1964 |
| Photographer | Sneddon, James O. |
| Date | 1964 |
| Notes | Images documenting the Eniwetok-Bikini Resurvey Project between July and September 1964.
Caption with image: A low tide prevented the M-boat from getting within 100 yards or so of Rigili Island's beach, so the skiff made several trips through the choppy, bright-green water. Rigili generally had escaped the blast damage and the island's interior was a thick tangle of vegetation. Yellow jackets further discouraged much penetration of the interior. Adding to the morning's frustrations was the discovery that, although the water can had been laboriously loaded in the skiff and dragged up the beach, no one had put water in it. 9246-2.
