| Title | Wreck of the freighter ship NICKAJACK TRAIL as seen from Japtan Island's ocean reef, summer 1964 |
| Photographer | Sneddon, James O. |
| Date | 1964 |
| Notes | Images documenting the Radiological Survey of Eniwetok, Bikini and Rongelap Atolls between July and September 1964.
Caption with image: The wreck of the Nickajack Trail never fails to draw a few sightseers on Japtan's ocean reef. The freighter went aground while trying to negotiate the Deep Entrance in the late 1940's. The sea has gradually reduced the ship. The after half of the ship is strewn over the reef. It may not be too many storms until the rest of the ship disappears. 9245-17A
