Caption with image: The Ran-Annim is shown lying at anchor off Bikini Island, framed by fronds of a coconut palm growing on the beach. Sleeping quarters for the scientists were closely packed double-decker bunks covered with canvas at the after end of the upper deck. The No.2 cargo hold was rigged up as a laboratory area. 9267-22A
