|Title||Rongelap family relaxing in a village on Rongelap Atoll, summer 1964 |
|Photographer||Sneddon, James O. |
|Notes||Images documenting the Radiological Survey of Eniwetok, Bikini and Rongelap Atolls between July and September 1964.|
Caption with image: A Rongelap mother fondles her child and father relaxes nearby during a siesta in the village. Visitors were impressed with the apparent warmth and closeness of the Rongelap families. There was a marked absence of squabbles among the children as the older ones seemed to take care of the younger.
