Name changes: Eniwetok is now known as Enewetak Caption in scrapbook: A wonderful Saturday night There are no motion picture theaters on Likiep. But the miraculous aplomb of childhood never was better demonstrated than in the well-bred delight of the Marshallese children in American movies brought from the Navy ship for a "movie night" in the Catholic Mission. The main feature, a 1948 re-make of the old "Burlesque" (selected, it is believed, by Lt. Wilroy) scarcely was a vehicle to inspire the scores of Likiep youngsters who crowded the floor before the makeshift screen. But an animated cartoon restored the balance somewhat and, when the program moved to a song-film, the kids were shouting the refrain to "Woody Woodpecker" with enthusiasm. Lowman made this flash on Saturday night, August 20.
