NotesPattern No. 4306: Collared surplice shirtwaist with a narrow girdle that is drawn through slashes at either side and fastens at the left side with a button; girdle is trimmed with embroidery. Sleeves are "darted from the lower edge to fit the arm snugly, and flare over the hand." The sleeves are finished with a row of buttons from the wrist to the elbow. Skirt is gathered at the hip on each side. A sash ties loosely in the back.
