NotesPattern No. 4828: "Front sections are laid in box plaits from the shoulders." Collared blouse opens at center front under a box plait and is fastened with buttons. Applied yoke "extends over the shoulders as far as the bust line in front." Sleeves are "gathered at the lower edge to turn-back cuffs which are fastened at the back of the sleeves with buttons." Fullness of blouse is gathered with an elastic belt. Worn with a simple skirt and accessorized with a deep-crowned, flat-brimmed hat and brown throw.

Pattern No. 4829: Blouse with shallow yoke "is laid in clusters of small tucks on each shoulder, front and back." Waistcoat is also finished with tucks. "Vest section is set in at the center front" and is trimmed with rows of narrow frilling and bows. Neck, cuffs, and waistcoat are also trimmed with rows of narrow frilling. Sleeves are "gathered at the wrist to straight, tucked cuffs which fasten at the back of the sleeves and are finished with applied bows." "Fullness of the blouse is adjusted by a narrow belt" and a separate crushed girdle is applied. Blouse is worn with a simple skirt.
