NotesPattern No. 4716-17: Front and side sections of deep-collared coat are joined to back "under a lapped plait." Front sections are "slashed at either side for set-in sections." Narrow belt is held in place with embroidered arrows. Sleeves are "finished at the wrist with a deep fold, slightly flared." Coat opens at front and is trimmed with buttons. Accessorized with a simple skirt and a bicorne hat trimmed with a feather.

Pattern No. 4714-15: Box coat with a collar trimmed with a bow. Sleeves are "finished at the wrist with a flared undercuff; undercuff is tacked to the facing of the sleeve." Coat is trimmed with buttons. Skirt has a wide girdle which is visible through the cut-out section in the center of the coat. Accessorized with a two-toned, deep-crowned hat with a wide front brim and trimmed with a feather.
