NotesPattern No. 4698: Wide-collared coat with waistcoat panels. Side sections and flared-cuff sleeves are cut kimona-style and "seamed to the front and back panels under a lapped plait." Front of the coat is slashed at either side to accommodate the narrow belt" which ties at the front center. "Coat is slashed at either side front for pockets which are finished with an embroidered arrow." Accessorized with a cigarette holder and a turban-like hat trimmed with a black feather.
