NotesPattern No. 4638: Front of frock is "slashed for the opening and a vest is set in." Left side of frock is slashed to accommodate a pocket. Sleeves are "shaped at the wrist to simulate cuffs." Girdle crosses at the back and front, is fastened at the sides, and is finished with buttons. Collar is trimmed with buttons, and cuffs, pocket, and front of frock are trimmed with embroidery. Waistline of the frock is full enough to allow it to be slipped on over the head. Accessorized with a turban-like hat trimmed with a brooch.
