NotesPattern No. 4570-71: Shirtwaist with sleeves that are "darted from the elbow to the wrist to fit the arm snugly and flare slightly over the hand." Narrow girdles tie on both sides of the shirtwaist, and the front and back seams are finished with a row of buttons. Hobble skirt opens to the left, and the apron tunic is trimmed with buttons and loops. Accessorized with a toque hat with a black-feathered antennae.

Pattern No. 4564: Collared shirtwaist opens to the left and "extends below the belt to give a waistcoat effect." Sleeves are "slightly flared at the wrist." Side sections of the skirt are "joined to the front gore [of the skirt] under a lapped pleat to simulate a redingote." "The fullness at the waist-line is held in place by a narrow belt" tied at the left. Accessorized with a turban-like headdress.
