| Contextual Notes | Parkway is a small community on the Chinook Pass highway, so named because it was on the way to Mount Rainier National Park. A post office was established on December 7, 1931 and closed on June 30, 1946. The place consisted of a small lodge and store with some tourist cabins and was open only during the Summer.
