C is "For us children, as gay as ever seen." The illustration depicts two boys dancing with two girls. One of the girls' dresses has been hand colored.
Contextual NotesPamela Chandler married Samuel Colman in 1824. Their daughter, Pamela Atkins Colman, is assumed to have written another Lu Lu Alphabet book (published in 1867) in this collection.
