This is a small instructive book that tells the story of Edward who becomes interested in all aspects of astronomy and is taught by his father about telescopes, the solar system and the constellations. Includes additional "moral and instructive works" in the back and a list of the planets which include: Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, and Herschel.
The frontispiece is a fold-out, woodcut star map. The title page depicts a quiver of arrows. |
