This page depicts the Hydra. The text begins by describing the myth of how Hercules supposedly killed the Hydra. Although the author seems to believe that this mythological hydra did not exist, he states that a large serpent with multiple heads was taken from Turkey to Venice in 550 AD. He also sees the hydra as a metaphor for sin and makes several comments about Christianity and human corruption.
