| Notes | Accordion book glued into the original marbled paper covered box. Illustrated with hand colored intaglio prints. Each page in the book depicts a man in costume from a different part of the world. There are some standard inclusions such as: Englishman, Spaniard, Arabian, Persian, Turk, Chinese, Egyptian, and Moor. Some more unusual inclusions are: Baschkire, Kamschadale, Van Dimenslander, Friendchaps Islander, and Hottentot. The illustrations that can be seen here are an Englishman, Old German, and Marguesas Islander. |
