Contains three short stories about lions describing their bold and fierce nature. Includes a story about Arabs who live in constant dread of the lion and one about an Englishman who, after killing the lion and lioness, takes the cubs he's orphaned back to England with him where they were kept for many years.
The cover depicts a lion standing in a jungle (an almost identical image is found in color in Plate [1]).
