Contextual NotesEdmund Blampied was a lithographer, caricaturist, cartoonist, book illustrator, and artist working in oils, watercolours, silhouettes and bronze. He is primarily known for his etchings and drypoints.
Thomas Nelson is a publishing firm that began in Scotland in 1798. It originally sold only religious texts, but increasingly also began selling popular literature and educational material in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries.
