Pages have blank versos.
Each letter is accompanied by an illustration and a short verse.
"T stands for Tiger from him you would run."
"U was a usurer a man fond of money." The illustration depicts a man sitting at a desk with bags of money in front of him.
"V was a Vlucan a blacksmith so funny." There is no illustration for this letter.
"W stands for well with water so clear." The illustration depicts a young girl standing by a well and holding a pitcher.
Contextual NotesAn Archibald Park was operating at 47 Leonard Street, Finsbury, London, from 1836-41, but the work might also have been published by Alexander Park (perhaps Archibald's son) who occupied the same premises from 1842-1863.
