| Notes | Illustrated with uncolored relief prints. Each Goop is named for a mischievous or naughty childhood trait. The Goops are listed alphabetically and each has a story and a short verse explaining their fault. This page depicts Ugpert whose smile was sweet to see and was not greedy, vain or bad, except for one rude trick she had of speaking saucily to folks and making pert remarks and jokes- hence her name "is ugsome and pert." |
| Contextual Notes | Frank Gelett Burgess was an artist, art critic, poet, author, and humorist.
