Lesson helps consisting of illustrated cards published by the American Sunday-School Union to supplement the Sunday-School World, a monthly periodical. The cards were designed to teach the lessons of the Bible.
The text gives a brief biography of King David and then presents questions and answers about the text.
Contextual NotesThe American Sunday-School Union was a cross-denominational national organization founded in Philadelphia in 1824. In addition to establishing Sunday schools in remote areas, the organization was well-known for their children's publications and their reward system for Sunday school children who memorized Scripture.
