Probable publication date range based on presumed date (1850) of another Uncle Buncle title listed in Gumuchian (5361) and inscription date seen on another copy. Uncle Buncle's series described as "copy book size--with large coloured engravings"; includes inscription in ink: "To his day, Jones, 1856".
A story in verse about a good little boy who behaves well both at school and at home.
Text reads: "There are some of them six and seven years old; and all of them very Good boys, I am told. So pack your books be off and away; you have done with your lessons, at least for today."
The illustration depicts the teacher dismissing the students for the day, and all the boys packing their book bags.
