Probable publication date range based on presumed date (1850) of another Uncle Buncle title listed in Gumuchian (5361) and inscription date seen on another copy. Uncle Buncle's series described as "copy book size--with large coloured engravings"; includes inscription in ink: "To his day, Jones, 1856". A story in verse about a good little boy who behaves well both at school and at home. The text reads: "O! have you not heard of little John Green, the best little boy that was ever seen? He knows all his letters as soon you shall see, from that fountain of learning, the famed A, B, C." The illustration depicts a schoolroom with students and teacher. |
