| Notes | Printed in the introduction: This picture-story book deals with an episode in the War of Resistance Against Japan. It describes how a group of Young Pioneers composed of Chinese and Korean children, like their fathers and elder brothers, waged a courageous, relentless struggle against the enemy during the occupation of northeastern China by the Japanese imperialists. These young boys and girls belonged to a guerilla unit operating under the command of the Anti-Japanese Amalgamated Armies of the Northeast, led by the Chinese Communist Party. Printed in the People's Republic of China. Distributed by Guozi Shudian (China Publications Centre).
