NotesThis book was most likely created as a propagandistic work as part of Chairman Mao's Cultural Revolution. Young Chinese children are shown engaging in the "correct" activities of cleanliness, study, and labor.
"We learn the words: 'Long live Chairman Mao!'" This page depicts a young Chinese boy sitting at a table and writing in a notebook, and a young Chinese girl holding a chalkboard. On both the notebook and chalkboard are written "Long live Chairman Mao!" in Chinese.
