Translations of illustration captions are written underneath the German text in pen. Some of the German text has been crossed out in red pencil to indicate that that portion has been "adapted." This story is about the travels of Totto, a doll from Africa, and Kimiko, a doll from Japan. They are rescued by two little girls in Italy and are adopted into a family of international dolls where everyone learns to live together happily.
