NotesChapbook with uncolored woodcut illustrations.
Popular story about a tailor known subsequently as Peeping Tom, who in one of the most famous instances of voyeurism, peeped on Lady Godiva as she was riding naked through the the town of Coventry. Lady Godiva was the wife of Leofric, Earl of Mercia who said he would remit the oppressive taxation on her people if she would ride through the streets without clothes. As a consequence of Peeping Tom's behavior he is struck blind.
