NOTESThis building is named after John T. Condon, the first Dean of the School of Law for the University who used his own personal law library to educate the department. Originally the Law School deparment resided in the Quad where Gowen Hall presently stands. The Law Shool was moved out and the building was renamed Gowen Hall and the Political Science deparment moved in. Condon Hall now houses the department of Architecture because the School of Law has been moved and re named William H. Gates School after Bill Gates father who was a lawyer and a UW student in 1950.
