Handwritten on verso of image: Sept. 18, 1925. Kodiak, Alaska. Dear General Meany, You would have enjoyed seeing all the towns & Indians we have visited on this trip to the westward. Kodiak is an especially interesting place, with its church founded in 1793. We attended service there this morning. The harbor is so narrow that when the Admiral Watson wanted to shift from one dock to another it had to go outside to turn around. We brought 6 beaver, 6 blue fox & 36 muskrats to be planted out here. [Signed] Milnor Roberts
