Contextual NotesDavidson Glacier has its heads on the east slope of the Chilkat Range and its terminus 1.4 miles southwest of Glacier point on Chilkat Inlet, 26 miles southwest of Skagway. The Indian name was reported as Ssitkaje.

The Reverend Harry Prosper Corser (1864-1936) was born in Portageville, New York. He was a Presbyterian minister and a writer. He authored a book entitled The Totem Lore of Alaska (1910). In 1910, he was living in Wrangell. [Sources: American Authors & Books and the 1910 U.S. Census]
