Contextual NotesThe Eugene Depot was listed in the National Register of Historic Places in 2007. The depot and surrounding park were established as part of the City Beautiful movement. In 1955, Southern Pacific abandoned its Shasta Line and the park was later removed. Following renovations in 2004, it became a passenger station on the Amtrak Cascades line.
