| Contextual Notes | Susan R. Bernardi went to Kingegan, Cape Prince of Wales, Alaska, in October 1901 to teach at the U.S. Government School. She joined William T. and Ellen Lopp, of the American Missionary Association who established the school in 1890. Her photographs document many aspects of Eskimo life at Kingegan. |
