| Contextual Notes | Moscow, Idaho was founded in 1871 by miners and farmers. It was originally named Hog Heaven and then Paradise Valley but in 1875 the name became Moscow. The large building on the left is the McConnell Maguire building, which is across the street from the Idaho Post, which was the local newspaper from 1906 to 1935. |
