Sept. 9 and 10, 1909. 50 fast cars will compete in stirring speed and endurance contests. 30 motorcycles in competition...Four silver cups will be awarded in the following classes: decorative, grotesque, commercial and racing.
Contextual NotesIn 1905, The Meadows opened as a one-mile dirt race track for automobiles. Located in Georgetown, the area was subsequently used for air shows and paved over to create Boeing Field in 1928.
