Advertisement TextWater is the chief ingredient of beer...All water is not suitable for beer making - it must be the right kind, and the water of which Olympia Beer is made is the right kind. If water did not have any effect upon the quality to their product, then any brewery could turn out a beer equal to "Olympia"..."It's the water."
Contextual NotesIn 1896, the Capital Brewing Company was established by Leopold Schmidt in Tumwater, Washington. In 1902, it became known as the Olympic Brewing Company and started using the slogan, "It's the water."
