Advertisement TextThe solution of the woman's motor car problem is the Franklin, the car of distinction...The Franklin will travel three times as far on a set of tires as the average heavy car...The Franklin will go half to two-thirds farther on a gallon of gasoline than the average car of the same capacity...Blowouts from heavy loading or excessive strain are unknown...W.A. Contextual NotesIn 1902, Herbert H. Franklin and engineer John Wilkinson developed the first Franklin automobile. The car producer was recognized for designing light weight vehicles (with aluminum components), and its use of air-cooled engines and six cylinder models.
