Building NotesEllsworth Storey, one of Seattle's most popular architects, graduated from the University of Illinois in 1903 and moved to Seattle, where he created a number of houses and public works grounded in Seattle's natural environment. His buildings reveal the influence of the Arts and Crafts movement and of Storey's affection for the Swiss chalet.
