| Building Notes | Organized in 1884, the Tacoma Chamber of Commerce Company authorized the purchase of two lots on the corner of Pacific Avenue and South 12th Street for the construction of a commerce building that same year. In May of 1885 a committee was chosen to oversee the project, the newly formed Darmer & Ferrell chosen as the architects, and the building was completed the following November. This building is no longer standing. |
