| Building Notes | Returning to the Pacific Northwest in 1899 Louis L. Mendel initially worked as a draftsman for Charles H. Bebb, but formed a partnership with the latter less than a year later. Bebb & Mendel became the most prominent architectural firm in Seattle during the first decade of the 20th century, designing some of the area's finest homes and business buildings in a variety of architectural styles. The balanced facade, copper detailing, steep hip roof, and balcony balustrades of the William E. Boeing residence are all characteristic of the French Provincial style. |
