AbstractThe author introduces Mrs. Prayun Yomyiam, a remarkable folk singer. Mrs. Prayun is a 62- year- old woman who devoted most of her life to keep the Thai folk song called ""lamtat"" alive. She received the national award and was announced as Thailand's national artist in 1994.
