AbstractThe article features the biography of Chek-amat Khumi, an Iranian expatriate-trader who married Thai and worked for the Siamese court in the Ayutthaya period. He was the ancestor of the Bunnag family, which played an important role in the Thai courts and Thai government for several centuries.
