AbstractThe author illustrates the well-known legend of female Thai ghost Mae Nak. The legend have been popular over the recent decades. Many films were made, based on the legend, including the most recent one in 1999. Mae Nak was a lay woman who was believed to live during the reign of King Mongkut. She died while she was pregnant.
