TitleCha oa niyai arai chak prawatsat nai nawaniyai?
AuthorTrisin Bunkhachon
AbstractThe author criticizes two recent historical fiction, ""Prachao Prasatthong kasat nak su"" and ""Chao Lai"". Both portray King Prasatthong of Ayutthya positively and claim that they were based on Ayutthaya history. This is different from a chronicle recorded by a visitor of the Netherlands, which illustrated the King as brutal and vicious. The author calls into question what readers can expect from historical novels.
