AbstractIn the article, the author explores how European society in the 1920s influenced politcal ideology of overseas Thai student at the time. He focuses on Thailand's late political leader Pridi Banomyong, who studied Law and Economics in France during post World War I. Pridi was one of the first few intellectuals who introduced individualism into Thai society. Of which then developed into major political ideology that reformed Thailand from absolute monarchy to democratic state.
