AbstractLocated in Nonthaburi province, 20 kilometres from Bangkok, Ko Kret is a small isle in the Chao Phraya River. It is widely known for the large community of Mon ethnics who have settled there over 200 years ago. The article reports how the Mon there organizes their own tourism and in the meantime, attempt to preserve their unique lifestyle and culture.
