AbstractThe memoir was written from a personal experience and memory of Princess Phunpitsamai Ditsakun who lived during the reign of King Rama VII. As narrated by an insider of Thai aristocratic circle, the article offered several anecdotes reflecting Thai society before the political reform in 1932. The first chapter of this series illustrates the biography of King Rama VII, from his birth, his studies in England to his ascension to throne.
