AbstractThe author describes various types of Thai royal coffin. In Thailand, the dead body of kings, members of the royal family and highly ranked officers and monks was kept in a special type of coffin before cremation. The royal coffins were built in a vertical shape. A dead body must be arranged in a sitting posture in order to fit in the coffin.
