AbstractThe article reports the results from a study regarding Buddhist nuns in Thailand. The study reveals that Buddhist nuns are treated badly when compared to Buddhist monks. Therefore, there are very few Thai women who want to become a nun. Thai society's devaluation of Buddhist nuns has contributed to women's social disadvantages.
