AbstractThe article is about the history of saving in Thai society. In the past, people usually kept their money and other invaluable items underneath the ground. It was not until the reign of King Rama V that the first bank was established in Thailand. The article also presents the history of piggy banks, which were first introduced into the country during the reign of King Rama IV.
